An amount of 12.7 million has been given by the Artists’ Foundation (FDA) to 4,963 artists and artisans since June 2022, as part of its RENFORT program.
“The FDA has fulfilled its mission to support professionals in the performing arts, one of the cultural sectors hardest hit by the pandemic. With RENFORT […], the FDA was the only organization in Quebec and one of four authorized in the country to distribute, among other things, direct financial support,” the statement read.
From June 2022 to March 2023, the Foundation received no less than 7,230 requests for assistance.
