(Los Angeles) Hockey in Los Angeles is another world.

It’s another world because Crypto.com Arena, the home of the Kings, is located right downtown, in a sort of entertainment district where you can see a little bit of everything; On Saturday, before entering the square, we could come across a slightly angry gentleman who was shouting into a megaphone that the end of the world was approaching.

Will the Canadian have time to win another Cup before then? It was impossible to get a response, unfortunately.

Then it turns out that Los Angeles is a very different city than others in this league, because it’s another world.

This is the case on the famous Sunset Strip, frozen in time with its clubs populated by a fauna worthy of the 1980s, with all that implies of studded leather jackets, big hair and spectacular colors.

For example, on Saturday evening, a little detour to the famous Whiskey a Go Go allowed us to see that hair rock is not dead; we saw a tribute band (to be mistaken!) to Guns N’ Roses, with a singer who looked as unpleasant as the real one.

Then, a few steps further, we can go and discuss international politics at the Rainbow, a well-known estaminet for a host of reasons, including because it was there, in the past, that John Lennon, Alice Cooper and Keith Moon went to remake the world around several beers.

In short, Los Angeles never ceases to be fabulous, and we very well understand Phillip Danault for choosing it.
