The NHL salary cap will increase from $82.5 million to $83.5 million next season.
This was reported by Sportsnet network informant Elliotte Friedman on Wednesday morning. This is the second year in a row that there has been an increase of one million.
Last year, the cap was raised from 81.5 million to 82.5 million after three years of no increase.
The salary floor will be set at $61.7 million and the maximum salary at $16.7 million.
