(Philadelphia) Austin Riley drove in three runs and Atlanta beat the Philadelphia Phillies 4-1 on Wednesday as the Braves became their division champions for the sixth straight year.

Riley hit a two-run homer and a sacrifice fly.

Riley hit his 35th home run. Matt Olson (51) and Ronald Acuna (37) have already reached this milestone. Three batters with 35 or more home runs on the same club equals a major league baseball record.

The Braves’ other run came on a Kevin Pillar double.

Spencer Strider collected another victory, leading major league baseball with 17 wins this year.

Strider (17-5) gave up one run and four hits in seven innings, striking out nine batters.

He leads the big leagues with 259 strikeouts.

Brad Hand made the link to Kirby Yates, author of a fifth save.

These two teams could meet again in October, as the Phillies dominate in the fight for additional playoff spots.

This edition of the Braves (96-50) aspires to a third World Series title since the organization left Milwaukee. The club won everything in 1995 and in 2021.

Cristopher Sánchez (2-4) pitched for 7 1/3 innings, striking out 10 batters. He allowed four runs and eight hits.
