(Montreal) Steve Claggett will put his North American Boxing Federtion (NABF) welterweight belt on the line on November 14, against Mexican Miguel Madueno.

Madueno (30-1, 28 KOs) is ranked 10th contender for the World Boxing Organization (WBO) lightweight belt and is therefore making the jump up a weight division to take on Claggett (36 -7-2, 25 KOs), who is trying to consolidate his position in the rankings, ranking 15th in the World Boxing Council (WBC) at 147 pounds.

The gala, presented at the Montreal Casino, will also feature Steven Butler (32-4-1, 26 KOs), who lost in the world championship to Zhanibek Alimkhanuly last May.

The middleweight opponent will be disclosed later.

Eye of the Tiger Management will take advantage of this gala to present its new protégés Imam Khataev (3-0, 3 KOs) and Albert Ramirez (17-0.15 KOs) to Quebec boxing fans.

Vanessa Lepage-Joanisse (6-1, 2 KOs), Mehmet Unal (5-0, 4 KOs), Luis Santana (10-0, 4 KOs) as well as Moreno Fendero (1-0) will also take part in the evening.
