(Toronto) The Toronto Maple Leafs have signed forward Nick Abruzzese to a two-year, two-way contract extension.

Abruzzese will pocket an average annual salary of US$775,000 in the NHL.

Abruzzese had two assists in two games with the Maple Leafs in the 2022-23 season.

The 24-year-old forward had 16 goals and 48 points in 69 games for the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League. He added seven points, including two goals, in seven playoff games.

Abruzzese was selected in the fourth round by the Maple Leafs, 124th overall, in the 2019 draft.

At five-foot-11, 183 pounds, the center has three points, including one goal, in 11 career NHL games.
