While summer is now well underway, all eyes are on the start of the school year and the month of September, which should see the implementation of the pension reform. Despite the controversy and the massive anger of the French in the face of this text deemed unfair, it will however have a daily reality with the raising of the legal age of departure, but also the increase in the duration of insurance. As for the special schemes, they will gradually disappear, while the long-career scheme will undergo major changes. Explanations.

For future retirees, this is the beginning of a long Chinese puzzle to find out when they will be able to retire and finally enjoy some peace of mind after a busy professional career. Private pensioners, who were to leave this fall, are thus suspended from the next decisions and in particular from the publication of a circular on July 11, which promises that their file will be processed in July.

Currently, nearly 30,000 retirement files are pending and they should finally be able to be released, following this publication. Until today, it was, in fact, not possible for agents to notify departures, as planned, which contributed to the anxiety of future retirees, whose departure date is scheduled for this fall. Remember that the long career system now includes four different age limits with thresholds at 16, 18, 20 and 21 for early departure in the event of a full career with contributions.

As our colleagues from Ouest-France report, Véronique Puche, the director of information systems at Cnav, confided in these advances with the integration of “new parameters in our software”. Consequently, “the files will be able to be notified”, just like the long career certificates.

It has been several months since the Retirement Insurance (Cnav and Carsat) no longer issued these documents essential for the end of a career, bearing the date of retirement. In fact, the notifications should take place “during July” with “more than 7,000 technicians from the retirement branch […] accompanied”.

Asked about this, Guillaume Danard, of the CFDT Social Security, is particularly skeptical on the question with concern about the existence of a single training webinar and especially the question of reduced staff during the summer. He goes on to explain that “the deadline is short”.

During the previous pension reform, the long career decree was thus published six months before its implementation, whereas it is published three months before this time. As for the question of the revaluation of the minimum contributory, it remains for the time being fixed for next October 9 with new pensioners concerned “at the latest in September 2024”.
