We know that romantic breakups are a source of inspiration for Taylor Swift. Now a breakup song about her alleged romance with Chiefs player Travis Kelce is circulating on social media.

The song is called Kelce breakup song and seems to be performed by Taylor Swift. The lyrics go as follows:

You stole my heart, you intercepted it. Now that you’re gone, I have to accept it. Did I meet your mother too soon? Or did I do what I always do?

” Is it true ? » ask Internet users on YouYube, TikTok and Instagram.

The short answer: no. This interpretation is a creation… of artificial intelligence.

It all started on September 26, when Will King, an American who composes humorous songs, published on Instagram and TikTok “Taylor Swift’s first single after Breaking up with Travis Kelce”, a song he wrote and performs himself, accompanied by his acoustic guitar. The video has been viewed over 5 million times on TikTok.

Three days later, the “There I ruined said” page on TikTok, which enjoys modifying songs with artificial intelligence software (Melodyne and Pro Tools), made a new version. Will King’s original voice was changed to Taylor Swift’s. On the video, also viewed millions of times, the origin of the song is clearly indicated.

It was subsequently that naughty Internet users made montages with images of Taylor Swift, without mentioning the source, obviously.

Fortunately, these videos were viewed much less than the originals, and the vast majority of Internet users who commented on them discovered the story and reported the deception. The fact-checking site Snopes was also responsible for putting things into perspective.
