(Irving) The NFL will play a game in Brazil next season, a first in South America and the most recent step in the American giant’s international expansion plan.

The league indicated Wednesday, during the team owners’ meeting in Dallas, that this meeting will be played at the Arena Corinthians in Sao Paolo. The stadium has a capacity of almost 50,000 spectators and was used for the 2014 FIFA World Cup and the 2016 Olympics.

The NFL played its first two games in Frankfurt, Germany, this season and three more in London. Five international matches are scheduled in 2024; three in London, one in Germany and one in Brazil.
