At 8, I knew Bye Bye 91 by heart. I watched it at least 150 times. As a teenager, I also watched several comedy shows on TV. Then I went to the theater because I wanted to act. Eventually, improvisation brought me back to humor and I studied at the National School of Humor in writing.

It’s easier to recognize the signature of others… When friends contribute to the writing of a show, I am able to say what their line is. I find it difficult to define myself since I write mainly for other people. That said, I’m a punch girl and pretty slobbery. Every year, I do at least two contracts related to well-cooked products.

Having co-written the film Maria with Mariana Mazza. I’m also very proud of Christine Morency’s show. We’ve been working together since she started and we were friends before. I experienced an emotion at its premiere. I am also very happy to have participated in the Korine Côté show, who was my favorite comedian when I was at school.

I would love to write another movie and a TV series. As for the stage, I do some here and there, but I have no aspirations as such.

Today, my favorite comedian is Virginie Fortin, even though my work is not at all like hers. I envy his ability to explore very abstract themes with humor and his ease in setting up a situation for a long time to get a laugh. Me, at this level, I have an author’s deformation: I have to add as many jokes as possible. Still, it’s okay for people not to laugh for two sentences. I also find that she has a lot of freedom.
