Angus Cloud, best known for his role in the hugely popular drama series Euphoria, has died at the age of 25.

“It is with the heaviest of hearts that we had to say goodbye to an incredible human today,” his family said in a statement provided to CNN on Monday. “As an artist, friend, brother and son, Angus was special to each of us in so many ways. »

Cloud, a native of Oakland, California, became known for the role of Fezco, a drug trafficker in the series Euphoria, which aired on HBO between 2019 and 2022. The character was particularly appreciated by the audience for the scenes where he was open about violence, teenage drama, or drug addiction.

Just last week, the young actor had attended the funeral of his late father, which he found extremely difficult. The cause of his own death has not been disclosed.

“The only comfort we have is knowing that Angus is now reunited with his father, who was his best friend. Angus has been open about his battle with sanity. We hope his passing can remind others that they are not alone and should not be fighting alone in silence. »

“We hope the world remembers him for his humor, his laughter and his love for everyone,” adds the family, who wish to be able to grieve in privacy.
