Remember, her fate changed in the early 1990s. At that time, Indra Kuldasaar (better known by her artist name Indra) left her native Sweden for love and arrived in France. Then a drama student, she dreams of a career in comedy. Surveying the world of the night, she is spotted by the artistic director Paul Taicler who introduces her to the producer Orlando.

Thanks to Dalida’s brother who takes her under his wing, Indra makes her debut as a singer and releases her first opus Temptation in 1991. A musical success carried by Let’s Go Crazy and Misery which places her as a pioneer of the Euro dance movement. With her voice and her dream physique, she is adored by the French public who sways to the sounds of her hits. “From this success, I lived five years of life as a princess as all little girls dream of,” confessed the star to Télé Loisirs in 2014.

A success that she has been able to grow during her career. “But as a good Scandinavian, I always kept my feet on the ground. For me, singing was a job like any other. And knowing that it wouldn’t last a lifetime, I always behaved like an ant more than a cicada : as soon as I could, I bought an apartment”, she assured our colleagues. While she finds love with the model Guy Paillard whom she marries in 2000, Indra gives birth the same year to their son Ollie. A union that will end a few years later.

After crossing the desert, Indra attempted a return to television during this decade. The Swedish icon notably participated three times in Fort Boyard, but also in the show I am a celebrity, get me out of there in 2006 on TF1. “It allowed me to repay some of my tax arrears!” She admitted to our colleagues. Three years later, she took her first steps as an actress in the theater in My wife is crazy, followed by the Singles Club and My wife is called Maurice.

In the meantime, viewers find Indra on the small screen in an episode of the fiction The day when everything changed, at the time on France 2. Then recently in 2021 in Influences, a series which did not meet with success on NRJ12. If the actress has not given up her career as an artist, she continues to perform at galas with the stars of the 1980s and 1990s.

On the private side, the singer Indra went through a dark period when she fell ill. While giving her news on July 15 in What became of them on TFX, the Swede revealed that she had botox injections in 2006. “I remember, I had two explosions behind my neck. something that farted, everything that had let go. I felt the head going down. I was blocked down. I even started to have a dislocation of the jaw so much it pulled down”, she confided to an osteopath in the report. Sixteen years later, she is in a lot of pain and her face has been disfigured. “People often say to me, ‘Why are you bloated? Do you give injections?’ No, it’s the edema, it’s the weight.”

A suffering that spoils the daily life of the fifty-year-old star. “It was terrible. It’s a syndrome and it’s constant suffering. And I’m exhausted. Even for the articulation, I sometimes have trouble. I don’t know if one day I’ll get there. Live like that, it’s not easy”.
