Each spring, the most modest households receive an energy check to facilitate the payment of gas and electricity bills. While the kick-off of the 2023 device was launched a month ago, a new salvo is expected this week. Between Monday 15 and Friday 19 May, 22 departments will receive this aid in their mailbox. Are you one of those who will have to watch for the postman’s arrival in the coming days? Check it out in our slideshow below.

Aid paid subject to resources, the energy check allows not only the payment of energy bills, but also the purchase of fuel or aid for certain energy works. This year, this energy boost can be used until March 31, 2024. Rest assured: if you are one of the 20% of households concerned in France, you do not have to take any steps to receive it.

The amount of the energy voucher you will receive depends on your reference tax income (RFR) as well as the number of consumption units (CU) in your household. Here is the value, all taxes included, of the check that you will receive this year according to the scale of the Ministry of the Economy:

Note: as specified on the official website of the ministry, the first person in a household counts as a consumption unit. The second person in the household counts for 0.5 consumption units, and the third and subsequent people count for 0.3 consumption units.
