(Los Angeles) Jon Stewart’s show on AppleTV comes to an abrupt end, according to American media, due to editorial disagreements between the comedian and the California giant.

Star comedian and American talk show star, Jon Stewart informed his teams on Thursday that Apple officials had expressed reservations about the content of upcoming episodes of his show The Problem with Jon Stewart, reports the New York Times.

Apple, producer and broadcaster with its streaming platform, did not respond Friday evening to AFP’s questions on this subject.

Jon Stewart transformed political humor in the United States before hanging up his show The Daily Show in 2015. The Problem with Jon Stewart, another weekly satirical look at current events, launched on AppleTV in 2021.

But according to a source cited by the New York Times, subjects that the host planned to discuss in his next episodes did not please the managers of the apple brand, particularly on China.

Apple has been present in the country since 1993 and has become a central brand. Its boss Tim Cook also spoke during a recent surprise visit to China of the “symbiotic” relationship his company maintains with the country.

The American daily also mentions a dispute about artificial intelligence (AI).
