Robby Fabbri will be out for a month with a lower-body injury, the Detroit Red Wings said Friday.

The 27-year-old Ontario native scored in his only game this season – his first on October 12 in New Jersey.

Wings coach Derek Lalonde said the injury is not related to the knee injury that kept Fabbri out for the final month of last season.

Fabbri had seven goals and 16 points last season, being limited to 28 games.

He’s had knee surgery three times since his NHL debut in 2015-16 with St. Louis.

Fabbri won the Stanley Cup with the Blues in 2019.

Undefeated in their last three games, the Red Wings will play in Ottawa on Saturday, starting at 1 p.m. (RDS, TSN5).
