The weather is good, the sky is gradually clearing up and sunny days are back in this spring season. With the arrival of spring, the temperatures are milder and we are more inclined to stroll outside on weekends or during the holidays. But, where to take advantage of the sun’s rays to fill up on vitamin D?

The holiday rental booking site Holidu.fr unveiled this month its new list of the sunniest cities in France. According to data collected online by World Weather Online, “this ranking was made by extracting the average number of hours of sunshine per month in each city for the years 2009 to 2021”, indicates the press release of the site. The average temperature and the number of inhabitants of the municipalities assessed were also studied to establish this list.

Among the 30 sunniest cities according to the online platform Holidu, Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur dominates the ranking with 23 localities. The PACA region is followed by Occitanie (5 cities) and Corsica (2 cities). This is enough to satisfy those of you who are already planning their next weekend, especially with public holidays in the coming months, or their next summer vacation.
