British pop-rock group Coldplay are being sued by their former manager, Dave Holmes, according to Variety magazine. A contractual dispute would be at the origin of this lawsuit recently filed in the United Kingdom.

Dave Holmes managed Coldplay for 22 years, most of the band’s career, but that collaboration reportedly ended a year ago, a rep for the band confirmed to Variety. The legal documents have not yet been made public, but sources told the magazine that a contractual matter is behind the case.

Coldplay continues to be led by the team that was already working alongside him and Dave Holmes.

Formed by singer-songwriter Chris Martin, guitarist Jon Buckland, bassist Guy Berryman and drummer Will Champion, Coldplay are among the most successful bands of the past two decades, with more than 100 million records sold worldwide.
