I arrived in humor without planning it. I discovered my writing thanks to the 2fxfslematin podcast show that I co-hosted for four years. By refining my ability to punch on several themes, I realized that I had material to deliver on stage. At first, I imagined it was a very difficult medium to break into and I imagined doing one open mic a month, but everything worked out well. I started last year.

I am in a very fagot delirium in my references and in my way of expressing myself. My tone is always irreverent. My goal is to be funny first and foremost, but my opinions come through in my humor. That said, I’m not here to be a new priest either.

The podcast that consolidated my base. For the rest, I consider having opportunities that most people don’t have within a year: an accepted show at Zoofest, opening for Mona and my evening at Parc Lalancette, in Hochelaga [all Sundays in the summer]. I will also host a monthly evening next year. It’s going fast and I’m happy.

The person who is closest to me is Mona, but I have much less makeup. I also had a snap when I saw Sam Cyr on The Next Stand-Up, with his super fif incarnation that made me laugh out loud. I understood that Quebec was fucking ready for people embodying uncompromising queerness, and not just pulling out the violins to talk about our traumas. With stand-up, we can talk about our credentials beyond what the straight world imagines what it’s like to be queer, like coming out. It’s been 15 years since mine was done, that’s ok. I have other things to say.

Have an hour of material and roll it as much as possible!
