On the side of her private life, the actress was married to Jean-François Adam, director of M comme Mathieu, Le jeu du solitaire, Retour à la bien-aimée. The latter ended his life with a rifle on October 15, 1980. In an interview with Jordan de Luxe for his show L’instant de luxe, the actress had mentioned some regrets about her family life .
“I regret some things, there are some people I missed,” she said in 2021 and added, “I feel like I haven’t been there enough with my family, with my friends, with my daughter. I try to catch up as best I can, by going on a trip with them, staying two or three days with them to compensate for the lack of daily life”.
From her union with Jean-François Adam, Brigitte Fossey gave birth to a daughter named Marie Adam. The latter, now 54 years old, has played in a few films and television films including Les Eaux dormantes in 1992, Le Château des oliviers, Les Faux Médicaments: Mortal pills or even in the series Do not do this, do not do that in which she embodied the mistress of Eliott Bouley.
