(Nicholasville) Vincent Norrman bogeyed an eight-foot putt on the 72nd and final regulation hole, then pared on the first extra hole to defeat Nathan Kimsey and win the Barbasol Championship.

This is Norrman’s first victory in 23 tournaments on the PGA Tour. The 25-year-old Swede ended the day with a 66 card and the competition at 22 under.

For his part, Kimsey turned in a 64 to settle at under-22. He then had to wait to see if it would be enough.

His chances didn’t look very good with Norrman and Trevor Cone at 23 under.

However, Cone drove his tee shot into the long grass on the par-3 16th hole, which led to a double bogey.

The door was open for Norrman, but he got into all sorts of trouble on the 18th hole. His putt for the bogey just grazed the edge of the cup on the right side and then the ball fell to the bottom of the cup.

Kimsey was then the one to struggle in overtime, disputed on the 18th hole. He almost sent his ball to the water, then missed a bunker exit. Norrman did what was necessary to win.

Cone turned in a 68 and finished the day one shot away in overtime, along with Frenchman Adrian Saddier (66).

Veteran Lucas Glover, who led after rounds one and two, finished fifth at 20 under. He thus finished for the fifth time in a row in the top 10.

Canadian Taylor Pendrith finished the tournament in sixth place. He finished Sunday with a 66 card and finished his tournament at 19 under.

His compatriots Aaron Cockerill and Michael Gligic finished tied for 58th and tied for 62nd respectively.
