(Paris) Titled Sunday on clay in Hamburg, the German Alexander Zverev gained three places to settle in 16th place in the world in the ATP ranking published on Monday, still dominated by the Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz in front of the Serbian Novak Djokovic.

Former world second a year ago, Zverev had not won a title since the Masters at the end of 2021, due in particular to his serious ankle injury which occurred at Roland-Garros 2022.

The 26-year-old repositions himself just ahead of Poland’s Hubert Hurkacz, who drops one place.

The only other change in the top 20 concerns the Australian Alex De Minaur, 19th in the world, who drops two positions.

Switzerland’s Stan Wawrinka, the oldest player in the top 100 at 38, moved up 23 places and moved up to 49th after his final loss in Umag against Alexei Popyrin.

The 23-year-old Australian achieves a career-high 57th, up 33 places.

This is also the case for his compatriot Aleksandar Vukic, 62nd, who gained 20 places following his defeat in the final against American Taylor Fritz in Atlanta.

Frenchman Arthur Fils, who at 19 is the youngest player in the top 100, makes it to the top 50 for the first time after being eliminated in the semi-finals in Hamburg by Zverev.
