The late Princess Diana speaks in a letter about her separation from Prince Charles and her “concern” for the future. The missive dated July 15, 1996 will be auctioned off in September.

In this famous letter, Diana Spencer announces her resignation as patron of the Royal New Zealand Foundation for the Blind. The contents of the letter were revealed by The Telegraph. The Princess explains her resignation due to “personal circumstances, in particular [the end of her] marriage to the Prince of Wales”.

“While I approach the future with hope, I also do so with some apprehension, as there are a number of issues that I will need to resolve. The Princess continues, “As I seek to rearrange my life, it will not be possible for me to provide the right level of commitment to you and I believe there may be someone else better placed to support you in everything you do. »
