Like a perfume of holidays and idleness. The meteorological summer, whose date is set for June 1, is fast approaching. Since the beginning of 2022, there has been a significant drought in France, particularly in the north of France where temperatures are generally 1.5°C compared to seasonal averages, according to figures from La Chaîne Météo . “This trend should continue this summer. In this configuration, the return of storms from June would make a difference and could limit the severity of the drought in our country”, underlines the forecaster.

Despite everything, the month of June, which is fast approaching, could well be the hottest of the summer of 2022. According to the forecasts of the site specializing in meteorology, “temperatures are expected to be 2°C above normal for the season, with a more marked surplus in the north of our country”. If high temperatures are expected, they will be accompanied by thunderstorms which will limit their duration. “On the scale of France, precipitation would still be in deficit by around 5%, but this deficit would always be more marked north of the Loire and in the south-eastern quarter, away from it, most often, thunderstorms”, continues the forecaster.

A principle which should be well illustrated by the first day of June, which promises to be stormy over the whole of France, from Hauts-de-France to Corsica. Will this trend continue for you?
