A New Year under the best auspices. The French celebrated the transition to 2023 under the heat and the good weather, with particularly mild weather throughout France. If the sweetness has surprised more than one and it is worrying for a month of December, it will not last. As La Chaîne Météo explains, the conditions are deteriorating from this Monday, January 2 across the country, with rain, some clearings and temperatures starting to drop.
A disturbance coming from the Atlantic brings with it the rain from the South-West to Lorraine, while the North-West is finally experiencing clearings. “Temperatures drop 2 to 7°C on average compared to yesterday [Sunday January 1, editor’s note] across the country, while remaining higher than normal for the beginning of January,” adds the specialized site. If the temperatures will drop, “Tuesday will mark a marked improvement with the return of calmer weather”, explains La Chaîne Météo, despite the appearance of a new disturbance in Brittany in the afternoon.
