(Seattle) The Seattle Kraken have signed forward Pierre-Édouard Bellemare to a one-year contract.
The 38-year-old Frenchman will earn US$775,000 in 2023-24.
The Kraken also found common ground with defender Will Borgen on Friday.
Last winter, Bellemare had four goals and nine assists in 73 games with the Tampa Bay Lightning. He added a goal and an assist in six playoff games.
During his NHL career, Bellemare had 60 goals and 71 assists in 660 games with the Philadelphia Flyers, Vegas Golden Knights, Colorado Avalanche and Lightning.
Borgen, who was a restricted free agent, agreed to a two-year deal with an average annual value of $2.7 million.
The 26-year-old American set career highs last season with three goals, 17 assists, 20 points, 203 hits and 89 blocked shots in 82 games.
Borgen has five goals and 23 assists in 132 career NHL games with the Buffalo Sabers and Kraken.
