The giant Live Nation will now display the total price of tickets, including various fees, for concerts taking place in the venues it operates across the United States. The buyer will therefore know, when he is shopping, the true cost of the places he is eyeing.

Tom See, president of Venue Nation, said he was proud to offer this new shopping experience. “We will continue to advocate for innovations and reforms that protect [the] incredible bond [between artists and their fans,” he added.

This new way of proceeding will ensure that, rather than seeing the amounts of the various fees associated with the purchase of tickets towards the end of the transaction, the buyer will have the right time from the start of the process. This will avoid surprises.

The announcement comes as Ticketmaster, the most important site for the sale of show tickets in America, also owned by Live Nation, has just gone through several crises. In addition to being harshly criticized for its failed sale of tickets for Taylor Swift’s Eras tour and the use of “dynamic pricing”, which grossly inflates prices, according to its critics.
