(Toronto) The Toronto Argonauts signed a contract extension to general manager Mike “Pinball” Clemons on Wednesday.

Clemons was named general manager of the Argonauts in October 2019. Since that time, the Argos have won three straight East Division titles and a Gray Cup in 2022.

The Argonauts (11-1) currently dominate the East section and are already assured of finishing in first place. Clemons, 58, has successively worn the hats of player, head coach and general manager of the Toronto franchise since 1989, and the Argos are 7-0 in the Gray Cup game since he joined them.

Clemons was inducted into the Canadian Football Hall of Fame in 2008, and his No. 31 is one of four to have been retired by the Ontario team.
