The Canadian recalled forward Emil Heineman from the Laval Rocket. To make room for him in the lineup, the organization placed Tanner Pearson’s name on the injured list.

This is a first career recall for the 22-year-old Swede, who was the last player cut last October at the end of the CH training camp. Suffering an “upper body” injury early in the campaign with the Rocket, he was limited to seven games, in which he recorded four points.

He will not face the Pittsburgh Penguins this Wednesday evening. However, as the team leaves for three road games on Sunday, one could expect that management would want to count on an additional attacker.

A second-round pick in 2020, Heineman was acquired from the Calgary Flames in February 2022.

As for Pearson, it was already known that he will miss four to six weeks of activities after suffering an “upper body” injury, likely a hand, last Saturday against the Buffalo Sabres. His addition to the injured list constitutes, in this regard, a strictly administrative measure.
