Mattias Norlinder and Emil Heineman were cut from the Canadian camp, the team announced Monday morning. The two Swedes are sold to the Laval Rocket.

This means that at 2 p.m., once Joel Armia and Gustav Lindström have passed the waiver stage, the Canadian will then reach the limit of 23 players. Armia and Lindström could indeed be transferred to Laval if they are not claimed.

Norlinder caused some surprise in camp, scoring three points in four games. The fight was visibly emerging between him and Justin Barron for the last position on the blue line.

Heineman was shut out in four games, in addition to having a differential of -3. However, he provided a physical presence by distributing 11 hits.

NHL teams have until Monday, 5 p.m., to submit their 23-player roster.
