(Regina) The Saskatchewan Roughriders will not renew the contract of head coach Craig Dickenson.

The CFL team confirmed the news on Monday, after finishing the campaign with a 6-12 record.

The identity of his successor is currently unknown.

The Riders, who were excluded from the CFL playoffs, also indicated that they had awarded a contract extension to their general manager Jeremy O’Day.

O’Day also serves as vice-president of football operations for the Saskatchewan organization.

The Roughriders saw their playoff hopes dashed Saturday when they fell 29-26 to the Toronto Argonauts. It was their seventh defeat in a row.
