(Cleveland) Cavan Biggio hit his eighth home run of the year, breaking a clean sheet in the eighth inning, and the Toronto Blue Jays defeated the Cleveland Guardians 3-1 on Monday.

Biggio powered a switch from Enyel De Los Santos (2-2) into the center field bleachers. He was preceded at home plate by Daulton Varsho, author of a single just before him.

The South Korean managed to throw to first base to save the takedown before collapsing to the ground in pain. He needed help getting off the field.

Guardians starter Gavin Williams had a quality outing allowing just one hit and one walk in seven innings while striking out 12 batters.

The rookie was getting his ninth start since being recalled from the AAA level. He has an earned run average of 2.90. In 49 and two-thirds innings.
