(Montreal) Énergir’s 370 office workers will go on strike for 24 hours on Wednesday.

The Union of Professional and Office Employees (SEPB), affiliated with the FTQ, of which they are members, made the announcement on Tuesday afternoon.

These workers had recently rejected the latest employer offers in a proportion of 86% while giving themselves a mandate for pressure tactics that could go as far as a strike.

The COPE local concerned is currently only announcing a 24-hour strike on Wednesday, and refuses to reveal its strategy for the future.

The collective agreement has expired since August 2020. The main points in dispute relate to wages and job security, says the SEPB.
