(New York) Colorado Avalanche forward Nathan MacKinnon, Seattle Kraken forward Jordan Eberle and Florida Panthers goaltender Alex Lyon were named NHL Three Stars of the Week.
MacKinnon finished top of the league in goals (five) and points (10) as he helped the Avalanche finish the week with an impeccable 4-0-0 record and move into Head of the Central Section.
Along the way, MacKinnon hit the 100-point plateau that season, becoming the first Avalanche player to accomplish that feat since Joe Sakic in 2006-07. He also set a franchise record by scoring his 10th and 11th overtime goals as the Avalanche defeated the San Jose Sharks and Anaheim Ducks in succession.
For his part, Eberle had four goals and four assists for the Kraken, which went a perfect four-game record and secured a spot in the NHL playoffs for the first time in club history.
Finally, Lyon went 3-0-0 with a 1.67 goals-against average and 95.9% save percentage to allow the Panthers to claim the first bye granted to the Panthers. teams drafted in the Eastern Conference.
