(Henderson) Running back Josh Jacobs finally agreed to a contract with the Las Vegas Raiders on Saturday.

The one-year deal could net him $12 million, a person with knowledge of the deal told The Associated Press.

The source spoke anonymously, as the club did not disclose contract details.

The pact appears similar to one running back Saquon Barkley agreed to last month with the New York Giants.

Jacobs led the NFL with 1,653 rushing yards in 2022.

He was expected to sign with the Raiders, rather than sit out the season and forfeit his salary, but his extended absence was starting to raise questions.

The Raiders begin the season Sept. 10 in Denver.
