(New York) Buffalo Bills player Damar Hamlin returned to training without restrictions on Monday, nearly seven months after suffering cardiac arrest in the middle of an NFL game.

The 25-year-old’s heart had to be revived by paramedics on the field after a tackle on January 2, during a game against the Bengals in Cincinnati.

He was then evacuated to Cincinnati hospital in critical condition before being transferred to Buffalo a few days later, in much better health.

Doctors have cleared Hamlin to play football again, allowing him to now train without restrictions on contact and tackles. He can thus prepare for the upcoming NFL season, his third with the Bills.
