(Santa Clara) Christian McCaffrey scored a touchdown in a 12th straight game and the San Francisco 49ers defeated the New York Giants by a score of 30-12 on Thursday night.

Brock Purdy threw two touchdown passes for the 49ers, who posted their 13th straight season victory.

He is 8-0 as a starter this season and has avoided potential turnovers by throwing short passes to his receivers, who converted them into long gains.

McCaffrey had 85 rushing yards and 34 receiving yards, scoring a four-yard touchdown run that gave the 49ers a 17-3 lead in the second quarter. He tied Jerry Rice’s team record and is just three games shy of the NFL record.
