It took four tries before Aaron Rodgers was injured…

The future Hall of Famer, newly arrived as a hero with the New York Jets, was injured on his fourth try with his new team. He had to be taken by cart from the sidelines due to an ankle injury.

He sat on the pitch at MetLife Stadium, where he appeared to grab his leg or ankle before trainers attended to him. He got up after a few moments, but needed help to reach the New York sideline, as his coach Robert Saleh looked on in amazement.

Rodgers, 39, was taken to the medical tent to be examined and given X-rays, then was seated on the cart. Halfway to the locker room, he got out of the cart and limped into the stadium. The Jets announced that his return was uncertain. Rodgers was seen with a walking boot on his left leg.

Zach Wilson replaced him.
