Ranging from food, electrical appliances, clothes and toys, the Rappel Conso website highlights all kinds of products that can be harmful to our health. By mentioning the batches concerned and the distributors who sell them, this site allows us to prevent certain risks of disease. While Recall Conso has already carried out 1,504 since January 1, 2023, including 144 since the beginning of July alone, 5 meats are affected by a recall this week. Go directly to our slideshow, available below, to discover the list of these products.

Several meats sold in different distributors were mentioned on the Rappel Conso site this week, for several reasons. Indeed, these five meats are recalled due to the presence of different bacteria. The first is Salmonella. “Food poisoning caused by salmonella results in sudden onset gastrointestinal disorders (diarrhea, vomiting) often accompanied by fever and headaches which generally occur 6 to 72 hours after consumption of the contaminated products. Symptoms may be more pronounced in young children, pregnant women, immunocompromised individuals and the elderly”, as Rappel Conso informs us.

The second bacterium is Listeriosis. This should be taken seriously, because “severe forms with neurological complications and maternal or fetal damage in pregnant women can also occasionally occur. Pregnant women as well as immunocompromised people and the elderly should be particularly careful to these symptoms. Listeriosis is a disease that can be serious and has an incubation period of up to eight weeks.”
