(Fort Lauderdale) Spanish left-back Jordi Alba will join former Barcelona partners Leo Messi and Sergio Busquets at Inter Miami, the MLS club owner announced on Tuesday.

“Jordi Alba will sign today,” Jorge Mas said after Team Florida practice.

The 34-year-old former Spanish international (93 caps) had been without a club since the end of his contract at Barça at the end of the past season.

Inter Miami doesn’t plan to stop there: Mas has claimed that other players will join the club currently last in the North American championship.

Crowned six times in the Spanish championship with the Blaugranas, Alba also participated in the conquest of the Champions League title in 2015.

With La Roja, the defender won the Euro in 2012.

Messi and Busquets took part in their first training session in Miami on Tuesday, and could make their debuts for the club on Friday against Mexico City-based Cruz Azul in the League Cup, a competition between clubs in the North American and Mexican leagues.
