The Toronto Raptors’ search for a head coach is said to be over.

The Toronto basketball club have chosen Memphis Grizzlies assistant coach Darko Rajakovic, according to various media.

Rajakovic has spent the past three seasons with the Grizzlies, following one season with the Phoenix Suns and five campaigns with the Oklahoma City Thunder, still as an assistant coach.

He will replace Nick Nurse, fired two months ago. Nurse has since been hired by the Philadelphia 76ers as a head coach.

Prior to Saturday, the Raptors were the only NBA team still without a head coach.

Last season, the Raptors compiled a 41-41 record. They finished ninth in the Eastern Conference, then lost to the Chicago Bulls in a playoff qualifier.
