The compilation album Yer Favourites, by Canadian band The Tragically Hip, has surpassed half a billion streams. Released in 2005, the double album will be released on vinyl on June 2.

The Tragically Hip are the first Canadian band to achieve quadruple diamond certification. Yer Favorites is the second best-selling compilation album after The Beatles 1, which is no mean feat.

The four vinyl release (two double albums) will feature 37 songs, including a complete version of the track Fully Completely. A “deluxe” edition of the album Phantom Power (1998) will follow.

The band, which lost frontman and vocalist Gordon Downie to brain cancer in 2017, will mark its 40th anniversary in 2024. To mark the occasion, The Tragically Hip will release a special version of their album Up to Here (1989 ). A four-part documentary will also be released on Amazon.
