(Ottawa) The Minister of Innovation, Science and Industry, François-Philippe Champagne, unveiled some of the measures that will be implemented by the five major grocery chains. Consumers can expect discounts on a range of food products and price freezes.
This is part of a series of gestures announced by the minister at a press conference on Thursday. He also intends to strengthen the powers of the Consumer Affairs Office which will investigate practices such as reduflation and deskilling.
