Canada will face Jamaica in a home-and-away series in the quarterfinals of the Concacaf Nations League, with the winner of that matchup earning a berth into the 2024 Copa America.

Canada, Mexico, the United States and Costa Rica all earned a bye into the quarterfinals of this competition under the Concacaf rankings from March 2023.

Panama, Jamaica, Honduras and Trinidad and Tobago reached this stage of the competition after progressing through the qualifying phase which took place during the international break in September and October.

Canada, which is ranked 44th in the world, will visit 56th-ranked Jamaica on Nov. 17 before facing them again four days later at BMO Field in Toronto.

If Canada wins, then it will qualify for the Concacaf Nations League finals which will take place next March. It will also get its ticket to the Copa America as a guest country in this championship bringing together the best South American teams.

If Canada loses, it could nevertheless continue its journey. On condition, of course, of winning a match without tomorrow in March to obtain one of the last two passes granted by Concacaf.

The Maple Leaf representatives have a lifetime record of 10-6-7 against the “Reggae Boyz”. They booked their ticket to the World Cup in their last encounter, a duel that ended 4-0 in their favor in March 2022 at BMO Field.
