Bad news for fans of Chilly Gonzales: the shows that the Montreal pianist and composer was scheduled to present in Montreal, Quebec and Toronto over the next few days have been postponed until April 2025.

“Due to health issues, Chilly Gonzales is sad and sorry to announce that under medical advice, he must postpone the dates of his tour,” simply said the press release released this Friday.

Chilly Gonzales was scheduled to perform three nights at the Rialto Theater as part of Pop Montréal, on October 13, 14 and 16. These performances were already postponements of shows scheduled for January 2022, postponed due to the pandemic.

The pianist and entertainer has lived mainly in Europe for several years. He has just released the album French Kiss, and recently looked forward in an interview to the prospect of coming to play in his hometown, where he planned to spend some time.

The last time we saw Chilly Gonzales perform in Montreal was at the Théâtre St-Denis in January 2020.
