(Chicago) The Chicago Blackhawks have signed goaltender Drew Commesso to a three-year entry-level contract.

The team announced the deal on Tuesday. The latter will end after the 2025-26 season and Commesso will pocket US$925,000 per year.

The 20-year-old Commesso was selected in the second round of the 2020 draft by the Blackhawks. He appeared in 34 games at Boston University this season, going 24-8-0 with a 2.46 goals-against average and .913 save percentage.

The Blackhawks have said Commesso will report to Rockford of the American Hockey League.
