Charlotte Valandrey died on July 13, 2022 at the age of 53. Ten days after her disappearance, relatives, colleagues and fans continue to mourn her and pay tribute to her. This week, Tuesday July 19, the funeral of the actress was celebrated in the church of Pléneuf Val-André in Brittany. Many personalities were present, such as Dominique Besnehard, actor and producer or the actress Maud Baecker.
Charlotte Valandray died after receiving a new heart transplant last June. Suffering from HIV since she was 18, the actress had already received a first heart transplant in 2003 following triple therapy which had weakened her heart. In Paris Match released this Thursday, July 21, a close friend of Charlotte Valandrey, Cathy, returned to her last moments, and in particular her last wish.
When she was going to undergo a new heart transplant on June 14, 2022, she would have confided to her friend that she was not “afraid of the transplant, but of the aftermath. If I die during the operation, I die.” A very poignant confidence at the time of receiving such a vital transplant. Ten days after this operation, Cathy visited her friend, who was very weak at the time. “I don’t want to be connected, I would like my heart to resume, quite simply” asked Charlotte Valandrey.
“She had told her dad, her sister, her daughter, that she did not want therapeutic relentlessness if the transplant did not take. She could join her mother, in heaven,” confided Cathy. The actress therefore wishes to leave in peace, without undergoing a therapeutic relentlessness. If this is one of his last words and wishes, they have been heard and respected by his family. A very difficult moment, especially for her daughter Tara, to whom she had left a particularly poignant poem.
A final tribute, public this time, will be paid to the actress, in Paris at least next September.
