(Fort Worth) Adam Schenk, a 67, joined Harry Hall in the lead in the Charles Schwab Challenge by one stroke on Saturday.

Schenk finished with a 16-foot putt in the 18th for a total of 200 minus 10.

Schenk, without a triumph in his previous 170 PGA Tour events, finished second at the Valspar Championship in March.

Hall, the solo leader after each of the first two rounds, overcame two straight double bogeys on the front nine, dropping him to the top spot. His last putt of his round of 72 was a par 10 on the 18th hole.

Harris English (70) completed the day one stroke behind the leaders.

World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler, second last year at this tournament, bogeyed on three of his last five holes.

He turned in a 72 after two scores of 67, which put him in 10th place.

Defending champion Sam Burns delivered a second straight 70 card, tied for 16th place.

Justin Suh (66) and Emiliano Grillo (72) are third, at 204.

Suh had four birdies on the front nine, of five overall.

Grillo started with an eagle and a birdie, working his way to the top halfway through. The game changed on the back nine where he committed a double bogey and two bogeys, that in six holes.
