No less than 22 student-athletes were rewarded as part of the 19th edition of the Aléo and Cascades Foundation scholarship program.

A total of $80,000 was awarded in bursaries of $4,000 and $2,000 during the event, which took place at Parc Marie-Victorin in Kingsey Falls. Athletes from 17 sports disciplines, such as weightlifting, speed skating, diving and fencing, were honored.

The Cascades scholarship program, which was launched in 2005, has also renewed its commitment with the Aléo Foundation to the tune of $300,000 for a period of three years, from 2024 to 2026. Over the years, this ci has rewarded many athletes, including Alexandre Bilodeau, Mikaël Kingsbury, Alex Harvey and Amélie Kretz.

“Cascades is proud to continue its commitment and financially support the exceptional role models that are these students and student-athletes,” said the company’s president and CEO, Mario Plourde, in a press release.

“They are true inspirations to all of our staff,” he continues. In fact, they are part of our team! Through this link, we want to offer the opportunity to these young people to reveal themselves in all aspects of their lives! »
