(Milwaukee) A vote on the A’s move from Oakland to Las Vegas could take place when MLB owners meet June 13-15 in New York City.
Major League Baseball commissioner Rob Manfred said Thursday.
“It’s possible that a relocation vote could take place as early as June,” Manfred said in Milwaukee, as part of his major league stadium tour, which aims to meet the players.

The Athletics and Nevada legislative leaders have reached a tentative agreement on a $1.5 billion stadium funding plan to lure the organization to Las Vegas.
The club would use a site at the southern end of the “Strip”, where the Tropicana Casino is located.
After the Athletics purchased the land in Nevada, Oakland Mayor Sheng Thao said in a statement that she was disappointed the team did not negotiate with the city as a “true partner.”
The A’s want a new stadium to replace the Coliseum, their home since 1968, when they arrived from Kansas City.
The team’s lease at the Coliseum extends through the end of 2024.
The A’s assessed a site near the Howard Terminal in Oakland, before turning their gaze to Las Vegas.
The team entered Thursday with a 10-41 record.
The Athletics average 8,695 fans at home, about 3,600 fewer than any other club.
