This summer of 2022 promises to be one of the hottest and driest we have known in France. While the first two weeks of August were marked by heat waves and a scorching sun, a stormy degradation is currently crossing France.

For the weekend of Saturday August 20 and Sunday August 21, 2022, “it’s a great weather classic that we will find”, according to forecasts from La Chaîne Météo.

Showers, clouds and rays of sunshine will be shared on the first day of the weekend, with temperatures close to seasonal averages, between 20 and 33°C from north to south of the country.

“From the southwest to the Alps and the Mediterranean, it will be fine with a little tramontane and mistral in the Mediterranean”, specifies the forecaster.

Sunday August 21, 2022, it will be sunny almost everywhere, despite a drop in the mercury. “On the other hand, the weather will cloud quickly from the west and a new disturbance will arrive in the afternoon in the northwest with a lot of clouds and a few possible drops”, explains La Chaîne Météo.

“Maximum temperatures will drop in the northwest with 18 to 25°C while elsewhere they will often be stationary with 26 to 33°C”, underlines the site specializing in meteorology.
